Sometimes God’s gifts are hard to see. Especially when they are packaged in a way that evokes the response “return to sender” when you first receive them. Some of my most precious gifts have come in packages that I responded to immediately with dismay, and only ultimately with delight. It has become clear to me that many of God’s gifts come wrapped with time.
Because it takes time to truly see their value.
In this video session, I talk about the vast array of God’s gifts, and how we often need to pause in order to notice them. Life moves so fast, and when we don’t take the time to reflect, we sometimes miss the things God is putting right before our eyes. This session invites you to “Selah”- take a pause, as the Psalmist says, and consider some of the beautiful gifts God has put in your path.
Sometimes they come in the form of interruptions.
Other times they take everything you have to give.
.
But the mystery of God’s gifts is that they leave us different than we were before they came. And perhaps that exactly their purpose.
So without further adieu, here is Session 5. I pray this session- and especially my friend Patty’s story– will be as much a blessing to you as it has been for me.

This was eye opening; heart opening. I am raising two teens, as a single mom. We have difficult moments – lots of them. However, I am learning to see things from their perspective, and see them as true gifts from God.
I am in a job I know God has called me to. It has not been my ideal since the beginning. Some days I ask “Why?”
I realize that this job is, too, a gift from God. I just need to seek Him and let God open my eyes to see what He sees in this job. Easy? No way! But I know that in obediently following God’s calling, He is giving me something good, even in the difficult.
So Blessed.
Living Surrendered.
Aimee, thank you for your inspiring comments- so much of life is showing up and simply being faithful to the task ahead, and every once in a while you can pull back and see that there is a bigger story with all that is happening; God is working in you and through you (especially as a single teen mom!) and I believe He is doing more than you know in the lives of those around you. Many blessings to you as you faithfully surrender to Him.
As someone who has been personally touched by Leyton Bradley, I am so awed by his mother’s commitment, humility and love.
Thank you as always!! Beautiful!!
